Krisaya 自2005年即於泰國曼谷朱拉隆功大學教授雕塑與陶藝。她生長在泰國文化與中國傳統交織的家庭,居住於曼谷郊區的Samutprakan。叔叔過去曾經營一家小型陶瓷工廠,她在此習得技能,開始對手工藝產生興趣,熱愛自然。雕塑作品運用女性器官、花卉、昆蟲、家庭用品等意象,傳達女性的職責、人類生活的週期,以及女性靈魂散發的美麗。她喜愛在形式與色彩間作多樣的嘗試與變幻。

Krisaya Luenganantakul has been teaching Sculpture and Ceramic Arts at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok Thailand since 2005. She lives in suburb of Bangkok, Samutprakan, where her uncle used to have a small ceramic factory where she developed her skill and an interest in hand crafts and a love of nature. In her sculptures, she utilizes the image of a woman‘s organ, flowers, insects, domestic objects to represent duty of women, the life cycle of human conditions and beauty, found in the feminine spirit. Krisaya is interested in the playfulness and the transformation of form and color.



Statement from Krisaya

身為泰國女性,文化傳統賦予了陶藝雕塑的靈感,母親的傳統女性角色一直給我啟發。我以花朵的方式呈現我的作品,傳達女性之美與生命週期。
As a Thai woman, my ceramic sculpture is inspired by my culture heritage. I install my works in the shape of a flower, which conveys the beauty of women and the cycle of existence.
